there's almost nothing that brings me more joy than being able to capture the connection between a mother and father and their unborn child. it's the absolute sweetest. there's nothing like the anticipation and excitement that comes with being new parents, and being there to document this special time in their lives is incredible. here are a few images of my time with quinn and marcus, two pretty wonderful humans and soon-to-be wonderful parents.
a few days before heading out to greece, we had the privilege of visiting palm springs + joshua tree to see our dearest friends morgan and andrew get married. it was magical to say the least. it truly was the sweetest of trips, and can hardly wait to return. many thanks to our friend sterling for snapping the photos of us. cheers!
the salty air and fresh scent of the Mediterranean washing over your body making you feel like there must be more than five senses. the taste of lemon, feta, and olives fresh from the fields. straight from the garden. the loud laughter of family who hasn't been together in four years, trying to catch up and make up time lost. the scenery that makes you feel one step closer to heaven.Read More
Oh,I imagine time
tasting of poppyseed and flora, moving
fast, and slow
like trails of weightless dust disappearing and reappearing;
strands of mineral light, streaming through the time-traveler's scope
a sea enchantment of abyssal sound.
oh, spacious dark.
You say we are too eager for the future.
Ink blots swimming across the atlantic, searching for whales.
Ruminating, wild in the eyes and wilted in violet.
But I found dip-dyed courage at the bottom of a dream.
Starlit black, return again.
Move slow. I want you to see me.
crash over me
and make my body new.
What is freedom for?
The way the body sways, light in her lining.
Pyramids of indigo, towers of water.
Oh, I imagine time
smelling of walnut and lemonade.
What is freedom for?
Ancient poetry; her waking wilderness.
The way ice feels cold on my tongue in August.
And what of time?
Oh, there is peace here.
She moves in circles, and births me over and over again from her gold-glittered womb.
my word. these two. this wedding. i'm going to try to keep it under 5,000 words. there’s nothing quite like following along on a couple’s love journey and feeling like you were right there from the start. ark + kristin have become two of the dearest people to dimitri and me. i met ark back in high school and roomed with kristin before i said "i do" myself. ark is a dashing musician and craftsman. kristin is a wildly talented interior designer and stylist. plain and simple, they are incredible humans with hearts of gold. their story and love is absolutely beautiful. it's the type of love that reaches into the depths of their souls - an authentic, sincere love. pure and true.when kristin told me their plans to elope, i was elated for them. it fit them perfectly. they desired to exchange vows in God's creation without the fuss of a large wedding. they dreamed of their day being intimate and focusing solely on the covenant they were entering together.
based on how rad this couple is, it's not too much of surprise that their celebration was filled with amazing design and style. from her gorgeous free people gown to the beautiful evening sunset, they were gifted the most perfect day. the essence of romance.
these two completely captured my heart. it was an absolute privilege to photograph their most beloved day.
their story goes something like this: an australian, south african beauty meets a handsome greek and after years of friendship they fall madly in love and decide to give each other their futures. you can't make this up. and, to make it all the more wonderful... i have the privilege of calling them family! yanni, the handsome greek, is my hubby dimitri's older brother, and kelly has been a dear friend from church since moving to atlanta. they are both two of the most incredible people i've come across. kelly is a brilliant artist and illustrator and yanni is an all around life aficionado, especially when it goes to wine + food. more importantly, they both love others + jesus with deep devotion and conviction. i am over the moon for both of them, and sincerely cannot wait to celebrate their love in november! here are a few favorites from our time in roswell. congrats you wonderful people!
i've known erin since high school, and she has always been one of the brightest souls i've ever met. she radiates joy and her laughter should be bottled up and savored. it's contagious to the core.Read More
